New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, offers assistance to persons with disabilities

  • Southwest ADA Center
    The DBTAC Southwest ADA Center is one of ten regionally Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers. It serves employers, businesses, government agencies, schools and people with disabilities. They provided technical assistance, training and information.
  • New Mexico Financial Loan Programs
    The New Mexico Technology Assistance Program offers financial loan programs for people with disabilities to choose from to purchase assistive technology equipment including vehicle modifications. The Loan Program is a partnership between the NWTAP and 1st Community Bank. The SeedLoans Program is designed for equipment loans with a home-based business or self-employment.
  • Assistive Bank of Loan Equipment (ABLE)
    ABLE offers people with disabilities and their assisting service providers the opportunity to try out an assistive device prior to purchase. The loans are for 30 to 60 days.
  • Back in Use
    Assist in New Mexicans obtain the equipment they need either for free or at little cost to the individuals. Users can post equipment they have to offer or browse the inventory of used equipment.
  • Information Center
    The Information Center for New Mexicans with Disabilities and BabyNet helps connect individuals with state programs and service providers to assist with disability needs.
  • Center for Development and Disability
    Works for the full inclusion of people with disabilities in their community by building resources, improving care and technical assistance.
