Department of Health and Human Services
Their mission is to design, implement and oversee programs that allow families with children or adults with disabilities to stay together and participate in integrated community living and services.
Disabled Persons and Family Support
A program that provides up to $300 a month of funding for services to individuals with disabilities to help them continue to live independently.
Assistive Technology Partnership
The Nebraska Assistive Technology Partnership is a collaboration between private, non-profit and governmental agencies and organizations that has resulted in the establishment of a comprehensive program of technology-related services for Nebraskans with disabilities.
Alternative Financing
Easter Seals Nebraska offers two financing initiatives: Nebraska Alternative Financing Program and the Nebraska Telework Loan Program. The first provides for vehicle modifications and the second primarily deals with modifications made to the home for work purposes.
Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging Transportation
The Blue Rivers Transportation System operates in five counties of southeast Nebraska on a demand-response, portal-to-portal, 24-hour advance reservation basis.
Great Plains ADA Center
They provide technical assistance, training and material on the Americans with Disabilities Act. They serve residents in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
