Massachusetts Assisitive Techonology, Financial Aid & Disability Programs

Massachusetts, or as it is called by its residents - the Bay State, may be small in size, but not in amount of resources. Programs are available locally and statewide to better assist people with disabilities.

Massachusetts Disabled Drivers
The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles assists drivers with information on disability placards, eligibility requirements and parking concerns.
Easter Seals' Assistive Technology
A program for both children and adults with disabilities to help acquire the necessary assistive technology equipment. The Assistive Technology Regional Center works with people to train them to be independent at home, on the job or in school.
Easter Seals' Loan Programs
Easter Seals' offers AT loans and mini-loans to ensure those in need have the resource to purchase assistive technology. The mini-loan program is free of charge and offers low-cost assistive devices to residents of Massachusetts.
Assistive Technology Program
Massachusetts' Assistive Technology Program is open to individuals with severe disabilities who would benefit from assistive technology. They offer both equipment and training services. Consumers can find financial assistance through the state's low-interest loan program.
Accessible Transportation
The state offers paratransit services across the state such as Flex and WRTA.
State Agencies
Agencies around the state may assist you with your mobility needs including Soldier's Home Chelsea, the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission and the Massachusetts Office on Disability.
