Colorado Assisitive Techonology, Financial Aid & Disability Programs

The Rocky Mountain state offers mobility assistance locally, regionally and statewide. Programs are available to assist with technology concerns, transportation and personal rights.

  • Center for Persons with Disabilities|
    As a non-profit organization that serves the residents of Boulder, Colorado, the CPWD promotes independent living and the quality of life rights of persons with disabilities.
  • Colorado Cross Disability Coalition
    Through the help of both volunteers and paid staff, the CCDC represents legal cases and provides information to advocate for persons with disabilities.
  • Regional Transportation District
    Access-a-Ride is a paratransit service that is offered to passengers unable to use RTD's regular lift equipment. The program is available from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and requires an appointment, which can be made by calling 303.299.6560.
  • Colorado Family Center on Technology and Disability
    The FCTD works with organizations who help children and youth with disabilities by serving as a resource center. They provide information about technology and its benefits to living a more independent life.

    Promotes the use of assistive technology through clinical services, outreach and information services, research and engineering and education.

    A division of Assistive Technology Partners, this is a free service to locate needed equipment and find funding programs available.
  • Colorado Transit
    Accessible transportation is available in the state of Colorado. Transportation services are listed county-by-county allowing residents to find the most convenient transit.
  • Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles
    Provides information about handicap parking and driving requirements.
